I mostly use this on mid and high portions of my kicks and basses, The plugin responds almost like a boutique guitar amp with master volume. You can achieve many shades of drive by adjusting drive and mix amounts. Different modes are also useful, as they each have distinct coloration. Can be very transparent or in your face depending on how you set it up. Highly flexible with superb sound quality, highly recommend.

Der Decapitator ist ein hervorragendes Saturation/Distortion Tool, das kaum Wünsche offen lässt. Es stehen 5 verschiedene Emulations-Modi zur Verfügung, außerdem gibt es integrierte Low- und Highpass Filter und ein Dry/Wet Regler, um Paralleles Processing ohne Sendkanal zu ermöglichen.
Der integrierte Punish-Button tut genau was er beschreibt, indem er das Inputsignal um 20dB erhöht und so bei der Verzerrung ein erheblich chaotischeres Ergebnis erzielt.
Lediglich die CPU-Auslastung bei Nutzung auf mehreren Kanälen macht sich negativ bemerkbar.

J'ai pu acheter le Decapitator de Soundtoys (Et plein d'autres de leurs plugins d'ailleurs) pour le Black Friday, et vraiment ces plugins sont incroyables !

Le Decapitator permet toute une variété de sonorités, une saturation douce et analog, une distortion très agressive, ternir les sons, les rendre plus brillants .. C'est juste un super Channel Strip de base je trouve, que j'utilise sur tous mes mix et sur énormément d'instruments.

Si vous faites du mix ou de la prod, c'est un must have !
