Da ich nur Aufnahmen mit klassischer Musik mache, sollen alle "Klangverbesserer" möglichst wenig der ursprünglichen Substanz angreifen. Das Studer A800 Plugin sehe ich unter diesem Aspekt als recht gelungen an. Es tut sofern man die Pegel moderat einstellt was es soll, nämlich den Klang etwas runder, satter und farbig erscheinen zu lassen. Bei hohem Pegel wie ab Werk voreingestellt ist es für klassische Anwendungen deutlich zu verzerrt. Bedienung ist einfach und weitgehend selbsterklärend. Die verschiedenen Bandsorten geben jeweils eine etwas eigene klangliche Note, wobei mir insgesamt das Ampex GP9 als am klanglich interessantesten erscheint. Bandgeschwindigkeit ist für meine Zwecke hoch einzustellen.
Bei richtiger Voreinstellung der Parameter bietet das UA Studer A800 Plugin eine sehr saubere Simulation der oft als musikalischer empfundenen Bandsättigung einer Profi Bandmaschine ohne die negativen Nebenwirkungen (Wow/Flutter...) derselben.

Das Plugin macht sich super auf der Summe. Je nach Einstellung rundet es schrille Höhen schön und sauber ab. Auch dem Tiefenbereich wird Wärme und boost verliehen. Am besten mit der Testversion reinhören und schauen ob es bei euch Anwendung findet.. der normale Preis von 382€ ist natürlich viel zu hoch angesetzt.. da am besten auf einen Sale warten oder bei einem Bundle zuschlagen, in dem das Plugin enthalten ist.
